PLANT QUARANTINE ACT (CAP. 433)Examination of Varieties of Agricultural Plant Species(Amendment) Regulations, 2011

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 32 of the Plant Quarantine Act, the Minister for Resources and Rural Affairs, after consulting the Plant Health Directorate, has made the following regulations:-

1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Examination of

Varieties of Agricultural Plant Species (Amendment) Regulations,
2011 and they shall be read and construed as one with the
Examination of Varieties of Agricultural Plant Species Regulations,
2006, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
(2) The scope of these regulations is to transpose Commission Directive 2010/46/EU amending Commission Directives 2003/90/EC and 2003/91/EC, as regards the minimum characteristics and the minimum conditions for examining certain varieties of agricultural plant species and vegetable species.

2. For Schedule I to the principal regulations, there shall be substituted the following:
