TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDINANCE (CAP 65)
Motor Tractors (Amendment) Regulations 2003
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 54 of the Traffic Regulation Ordinance, the Minister for Transport and Communications, after consultation with the Malta Transport Authority, has made the following the regulations>-

2 of the principal regulations.

Amends regulation

13 of the principal regulations.

1. (1) These regulations may be cited as the Motor Tractors (Amendment) Regulations, 2003 and these shall be read and construed as one with the Motor Tractors Regulations, 1979, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st March, 2003
2. Immediately after the definition of “container” in regulation
2 of the principal regulations there shall be inserted the following new definition>
““groupage consignment” means a consolidated consignment of goods carried on any trailer, heavy commercial vehicle or any other commercial vehicle loaded with a container and destined for more than one consignee<”.
3. Regulation 13 of the principal regulation shall be renumbered as sub-regulation (1) thereof, and immediately thereafter there shall be added the following new sub-regulation>

“(2) No person shall unload a groupage consignment

established by the Commissioner.”
4. Regulation 21 of the principal regulations shall be renumbered as sub-regulation 1 (1) thereof, and immediately after there shall be inserted the new following sub-regulation
“(2) The Hal Far Groupage Complex shall be an authorized place for the unloading of groupage consignments.”
