ORDER TO SUBMIT INDICATION OF SPECIFIC CHANGES TO INDICTMENTS

I, JUDGE BANKOLE THOMPSON, of the Special Court for Sierra Leone (“Special Court”), Presiding Judge of the Trial Chamber,

SEIZED of the Request for Leave to File an Amended Indictment filed by the Office of the Prosecutor (“Prosecution”) on 9 February 2004 (“Motion”) pursuant to Rules 50(A) and 73(A) of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Special Court (“Rules”);

NOTING the Defence Response filed on behalf of Santigie Brobor Kanu on 17 February 2004 and the Reply to this Response filed by the Prosecution on 20 February 2004;

NOTING ALSO the Indictments of Alex Tamba Brima filed on 7 March 2003, Brima Bazzy Kamara filed on 26 May 2003 and Santigie Borbor Kanu filed on 15 September 2003 (“Original Indictments”);

NOTING ALSO the Consolidated Indictment of the three Accused, filed on 5 February 2004;

CONSIDERING that the fair and expeditious consideration of the Motion will be advanced by a precise indication of the changes made to the former indictments;

HEREBY ORDERS the Prosecution to file by 1 March 2004:

1. In narrative or chart-form, a paragraph-by-paragraph comparison of the Consolidated Indictment with the Original Indictments, indicating the specific source of each paragraph in the Consolidated Indictment and any deletions, modifications or additions of text thereto; and
   
2. A track-change version of the proposed Amended Indictment as compared to the Consolidated Indictment, thereby indicating deletions, modifications or additions of text.
